2019 Apple Valley Festival of Trees

Don’t miss your last chance to give to Food for the Hungry. Festival of Trees continues through New Year’s Eve, December 31st.Each year, clubs and organizations of Apple Valley decorate a Christmas tree and the public is invited to come and vote for their favorite tree. Voting tickets may be purchased for $1 for two tickets or by providing one food item per ticket. All proceeds will benefit Food For The Hungry. Festival of Trees is open EVERY DAY of the week from

2019 Foodstock

Foodstock was another exciting event to support Food for the Hungry. On December 2nd, the Knox County Memorial Theater was filled with music in this living history tribute concert. The music featured the highly requested return of Tom Petty with guest stars Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham and a headlining tribute to The Rolling Stones. The event raised $2,050.00 and 662 food items (which is ½ truck of food).

Praisestock 2019

Praisestock was an amazing event that was held on Sunday August 18, 2019. Praisestock is an annual outdoor live Christian music festival highlighting outreach in the community, held at Ariel-Foundation Park. Praisestock raised $1,500 for Food for the Hungry. 2019 Kenyon Snowflake Gala

On December 6th, Kenyon College hosted the Ninth Annual Snowflake Gala and Auction.
Denise and Mark Ramser, Knox County volunteer leaders and philanthropists, were recognized at the gala with the William A. Stroud Jr. Award for Community Service, presented annually for outstanding support of local charitable causes. Chairpersons at the event were longtime Food for the Hungry supporters Peggy and Dick Mavis. Kenyon College presented the exciting results of this year’s Snowflake Gala and Auction along with the President’s Christmas Reception at the annual Food For The Hungry broadcast. The 2019 total was $90,500 and 20 boxes of food.
