Pop Up Food Distribution (1).png

Food For The Hungry, Knox County Foundation, and Interchurch Social Services are joining forces, and we hope you will too! Together, we’re organizing a “pop-up” food distribution to support our neighbors facing food insecurity.

Local pantries have shared that the need for food assistance is rising while resources are stretched thin. We want to respond as a community, showing that when challenges grow, so does our compassion. This effort will only be possible through the teamwork of our incredible pantry partners and community volunteers.

Volunteer Dates:

  • Thursday, October 16 | 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (or until last load is unpacked)
Help load and unload food from MV Interchurch Social Services to Habitat for Humanity and Church on the Rise.
-If you have a truck you would be willing to haul the food in, that would be even better!

  • Saturday, November 1 | 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. (exact distribution time TBD)
Help with food distribution at Habitat for Humanity (details will be shared closer to the date).

Whether you can give a full morning or just an hour, your help makes a real difference.

If you or your organization can lend a hand, please email Knox County Foundation’s Lisa Loyd at lisa@knoxcf.org with your availability. Let’s come together to ensure every family in Knox County has the food they need — and to remind our community what we can do when we work side by side.
