Below is a list of the different Food For The Hungry collections hosted by the Knox County community.
Public Library
The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County is collecting non-perishable food, personal care items, pet food, and pet supplies to support Food For The Hungry and the Humane Society. Bring in your donation to any PLMVKC branch from November 3 through December 5, 2025.
Ellis Brothers Inc &United Aggregates INc
Ellis Brothers Inc and United Aggregates Inc are proud to team up with Food For The Hungry of Knox County as a local drop-off spot for canned goods and non-perishable items—all November long!
Employees, customers, and anyone in the community are invited to donate at our main office entryway at
14220 Parrott St. Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
Rooted In Recovery
Sober Living
Rooted is accepting non-perishable food donations from
Nov 21-29.
There will be a donation tote placed on the administrative office front porch where you can place your donations, located at 303 N Main Street, Mt Vernon.

All donations collected will be dropped off to Food for the Hungry on 11/30/2025.
Restore Collection
The Habitat for Humanity Restore is collecting non-perishable goods and monetary donations for Food For The Hungry from November 18 through December 6.

Hours are Wednesday - Saturday, 8AM - 4PM

Knox Democratic Party
The Knox Democratic Party is supporting FFTH by accepting donations of non-perishable food items at their local office.

Double The Donations
The Country Club Rehabilitation Campus of Mount Vernon is now collecting food donations for its Double the Donation Food For The Hungry collection. They will be matching the number of donated cans/food items collected from now until Drive Day, December 12th. Donations can be taken to the main building at 1350 Yauger Rd., Mount Vernon, OH 43050, from 8:30AM-5PM. If you have questions, contact Chris Turner at (740) 263-0420
Elvis' lost brother
Elvis' Lost Brother will be performing at Rural King on Saturday, December 13. He will be accepting monetary and food donations to benefit Food For The Hungry. He will be in the front entrance area of Rural King. If someone makes a donation, they can make a song request.
